Accounting practice freed from the shackles of their dying server
A dynamic and growing accounting practice was living on “borrowed server time”, failure was imminent and backups were inconsistent at best. The business was at grave risk of serious business interruption.
The problem
Our client’s server had simply reached the end of its useful life, it was 5 years old and ready for replacement. Whilst still functional the server was showing all the signs of imminent failure – hard drives failing, diminished performance and occasional inexplicable reboots.
Other problems included lack of facilities that would provide the business with a tangible boost to staff productivity – remote server access as an example
The solution
As part of our engagement as a Managed IT Services client, Logic designed and planned a full migration from the end of life server equipment to the state of the art Logic Business Cloud. The migration project took place over one weekend and the client was up and running with a huge increase in speed and stability on the following Monday.
Since migrating, our client has experienced 0 days downtime, much faster server speeds and also has the ability to allow staff to work remotely with all facilities as though they are in the office.
